XC Skate and BMX park features the only covered concrete pool and bowl complex in the UK!
What makes the Skate & BMX park at XC so special? We have an amazing street section with a huge variety of quarter pipes, flat banks, boxes and manny pads. In the middle of the street section we have a set of Hubbas (for regular and goofy skaters alike) with a gnarly rail down the middle. There is a small down rail for practising and a hesh rail over the step up for those who dare!
We have a really impressive concrete bowl, 5ft in the shallow end, 8ft in the deep end with a 9ft extension. The bowl has 2 lovely hips going down into the deep end which is perfect for all of you budding vert skaters.
The cherry on the cake which I’m sure most of you will have heard rumours about, is the pool. Designed to look and ride just like a back yard pool from California, it has pool coping (imported from California), pool tiles, a filter box (death box) and steps!
All minors under the age of 18 must watch the XC Skatepark safety video with a parent or legal guardian, and fill in an online disclaimer before using XC facilities. Alternatively you will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on your first visit.
There is a minimum age of 8 years old applied to all skatepark activities apart from Saturday and Sunday mornings when a 9-10am session is run for 4-7 year olds. All under 8’s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
26″ single speed (no gears) bikes will now be allowed into the park, but you need to be aware that if we do see any significant issues with this then the policy will be reviewed.
XC is open 10am – 10pm, 7 days a week. Please call reception (01442 507100) for the specific opening times for each activity.

What our customers say
I took my 9 year old son here to help improve his skating skills. He found it a great venue and learnt how to “drop in” so in all a very friendly place with a very large variation for all abilities.
The xc is a great place for fun weather you like rock climbing ,caving, or skating. The part I was using was the skatepark and I must say, I’ve wanted to go back ever since!
